About the dragonfly...

Odonata is the Latin term for the family dragon- and damselfly. A group of insects "known for their wings but named for their teeth," the small insect is a nearly universal cultural symbol of transformation. It's Sarah Sadie's personal Patronus. It's also a pretty good metaphor for the work Odonata Creative does: working with people in creative emergence, helping them find their wings...and also remember their teeth. "Find Your Fierce" is one of our catchphrases around here.

Plus, their wings are glittery and their bodies are bright colors. And they eat mosquitoes.

This particular dragonfly was created by Sarah's close friend and colleague Wendy Vardaman. You can find her website here.
